Communication must promote culture of encounter.

Media strategies do not ensure beauty, goodness and truth in communication. The world of media also has to be concerned with humanity, it too is called to show tenderness. The digital world can be an environment rich in humanity; a network not of wires but of people. The impartiality of media is merely an appearance; only those who go out of themselves in their communication can become a true point of reference for others. (Pope Francis)

“Religious freedom is a crucial element for building common good. This is why religious groups should be free to express themselves in their commitment to society and even by using mass media.”

In November 2015 Pax Press Agency was incorporated in Switzerland as a Media Company for audio visual documentations and reports (Television, Radio, Internet) about the work of the Catholic Church, her organizations such as the Holy See Mission Geneva, at the United Nations Geneva. Also to document and to report about the work of other faith based organizations (Protestants, Jewish, Islam etc.) and organizations at the U.N. that have interfaith dialogue objectives.

In 2014 H.E. Archbishop Silvano M. Tomasi (Left picture below. Permanent Observer of the Holy See to the U.N. Geneva until February 2016), and Rev. Frederico Lombardi (Radio Vaticana Director until early 2016) and Martin Rothweiler (Managing Director of EWTN Deutschland) supported Mr. Peschken to turn his agency concept into reality.

The Order of Malta’s Ambassador to the U.N. Geneva Marie-Therese Pictet-Althann was and still is a major collaborator of the agency’s work.

In order to help to fund the operation Pax Press Agency received grants from ‘Aid to the Church in Need’ and also from the ‘The Papal Foundation’ in 2016. Recently the two organizations approved further grants for 2017. Christian Peschken evaluates especially the grants from the Papal Foundation as approval & endorsement of his mission by the Pope Francis and the Holy See.

Mr. Peschken and his wife collaborate closely with the Holy See Mission Geneva, H.E. Archbishop Ivan Jurkovic. They also created / designed the new 2017 website of the Holy See Mission Geneva.

Mr. Peschken and his wife Patricia are both accredited correspondents and producers at the U.N. Geneva for EWTN TV.

The couple is a member of the Swiss Journalist organization Schweizer Journalisten Berufsverband Impressum and Association of Correspondendents Accredited to the United Nations .
