The most significant change is the SUV’s paint colour. The XUV700 is painted in a unique shade of matte red, which Mahindra calls the ‘Mate Blaze Red Color.’ Complimenting this shade are Napoli Black elements all around the SUV, including the roof, alloy wheels, front grille and outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs). A small Blaze Edition badge is also added on the front doors and tailgate. Multiple chrome elements around the car have been replaced with dark chrome, and silver elements have been replaced with dark grey.

The AC vents surround, dashboard & seat covers stitching and highlights in the centre console are finished in red. Similar to the exterior, the chrome elements have been replaced with dark chrome, adding to the visual appeal. Multiple gloss black elements have been added to the interior.

A small Blaze Edition logo has been stitched on the second-row headrests. Being based on the top variant of the XUV700, the Blaze Edition offers all the features such as ADAS, a 360-degree camera, dual 10.25-inch screens, a panoramic sunroof, twelve speaker audio system, ventilated front seats, a 6-way power driver’s seat.

Powering the XUV700 are two engine options: a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 2.2-litre diesel engine. The petrol engine produces a power of 197 BHP and 380 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the diesel engine comes in two tunes: a less powerful 153 BHP version in lower variants and a more powerful 183 BHP version in higher variants. This engine produces a maximum torque of 400 Nm. For the Blaze edition, Mahindra has opted only for the more powerful diesel.

The Mahindra XUV700 with a 5-star crash test rating from GNCAP comes with multiple safety features such as seven airbags, an electronic stability program (ESP), ISOFIX anchors, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and a 360-degree camera and level-2 ADAS. The Blaze Edition will rival other 7-seater SUVs such as the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, Hyundai Alcazar, and the upcoming Toyota Hyryder 7-seater and Grand Vitara 7-seater.
