Mahindra XUV700 Blaze Edition Launched At Rs. 24.24 Lakh

If you are planning to buy a Mahindra XUV700, you should certainly take a look at the Blaze edition of this SUV. Mahindra has just launched the XUV700 Blaze Edition – a SUV that gets a unique colour and a host of interior changes. Prices of the Blaze Edition start from 24.24 lakh, ex-showroom. Mahindra has launched the XUV700 Blaze Edition in three trims: AX7 L Diesel MT 7-seater -Rs 24.24 lakh, AX7 L Petrol MT 7-seater – Rs 25.54 lakh and AX7 L Diesel AT 7-seater – Rs 26.04 lakh.

Starting with the exterior, the most significant change is the car’s colour. The XUV700 Blaze Edition is available in a unique dual shade paint option. The exterior is finished in a matte red color along with Mahindra’s own Napoli Black roof, ORVMs, grille and black alloys. All the pillars of the car are also blacked out which gives it the impression of a floating roofline. Mahindra calls this colour as ‘Matte Blaze Red.’

The XUV700 Blaze Edition features an all-black interior theme. To increase its visual appeal, multiple red inserts, such as red stitching on the seat upholstery, red trims around the centre console, and AC vents, have been added to the cabin. No additional features are on offer in the Blaze Edition.

Some key features that are offered in the Blaze Edition are a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 6-way power driver’s seat, an audio system with up to twelve speakers, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, and built-in Alexa connectivity.

Under the hood, the XUV700 offers two powerful engine options. The first is a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, which delivers an impressive 197 BHP of power at 5,000 rpm and 380 Nm of torque at 1,750-3,000 rpm. The turbo petrol engine is a very quiet and refined unit. While it doesn’t rev up to a high rpm like typical petrol engines, it’s got solid low end and mid range punch, making the XUV700 quite peppy.

Alternatively, consumers can opt for the 2.2-litre diesel engine, available in the higher state of tune: 182 Bhp-450 Nm. Most buyers opting for the XUV700 choose the diesel, which is one of the most refined units around. The torque is especially strong on the diesel, which is more fuel efficient than the petrol. Both engines are mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed automatic transmission.  All variants of the XUV700 Blaze edition are front wheel driven.

The regular XUV700 starts at Rs. 13.99 lakh for the base MX variant and goes up to Rs. 26.99 lakh for the top-end AX7L AT AWD (AX7 luxury pack with all-wheel drive and automatic transmission).

The XUV700 also offers a host of safety features, such as up to seven airbags, an electronic stability program (ESP), ISOFIX anchors, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and a 360-degree camera. The top-end variant also comes equipped with advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) like autonomous emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control.

Like other variants of the XUV700, the Blaze Edition competes with Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, Hyundai Alcazar, and the upcoming Toyota Hyryder 7-seater and Grand Vitara 7-seater.
