Around 60 million households tuned in to watch a prime-time prize fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson on Friday evening, Netflix said over the weekend.

The main event peaked at 65 million concurrent streams, the company said, up 10 million from the nearly 50 million households globally that tuned in live for the co-main event of Serrano vs. Taylor.

The fight was far and away the most watched live event of the weekend and was hyped for months by both boxers and the streamer.

The bout rated slightly lower than the presidential debate between President-elect Trump and Vice President Harris, which netted about 67 million viewers across all broadcast and cable networks.

As the fight was streaming, several viewers took to social media to share frustration with technical or buffering issues.

The Tyson vs. Paul fight, which the younger Paul won by decision, was an important night for Netflix, a company that has invested hundreds of millions into live events including comedy roasts and sports.

The company faces another major test this holiday season, when it will stream a pair of NFL games on Christmas Day.
